Technology and ERP Systems in Modern Accounting
How does automation streamline accounting?
Technology is meant to support processes, not complicate them
In many companies, technology becomes an end in itself. New systems and tools are implemented to solve organizational problems, but they often only lead to increased complexity.
At Aider Polska, we view technology differently. We don’t implement tools just because they’re trendy. We use them when they genuinely accelerate processes, improve data quality, ensure master data consistency and the reliability of financial reporting, or reduce the risk of errors.
Technology is a means to an end—providing clients with up-to-date and reliable financial data as quickly as possible.
Technology continues to work even when the team is off duty. Many processes—automated tasks, data imports, and data processing—run outside of business hours. In the morning, specialists start their day with data that has already been retrieved, organized, and prepared for further analysis.
We work on the client’s ERP system or our own systems—we choose whatever works best
One of the most common problems when switching accounting service providers is having to adapt to an imposed technological environment. With us, it’s the opposite.
We don’t assume that the client has to change their system or switch to our tools. Together, we choose the solution that best serves their organization—and we adapt our processes to it.
In practice, this means we work on both our clients’ systems and our own solutions or those of our technology partners. We serve organizations using SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, Navision, Oracle, Comarch ERP, Symfonia, and many other platforms, ranging from global ERP environments to local financial and accounting systems.
As a Group, we have over 35 partnerships with software vendors and a dedicated technology team of more than 100 specialists, which allows us to operate efficiently regardless of the environment in which the client works.
If your current solution is working well, there’s no reason to change it. If it needs improvement, we’ll help you enhance it or, if necessary, replace it with something better.
Custom tools where they make sense
In addition to working on our clients’ systems , we also develop our own solutions that complement the organization’s technology ecosystem: electronic document workflow, automation tools based on RPA and AI, and solutions that support communication with clients.
We don’t build technology for technology’s sake. Each of these tools was created to solve specific operational problems—to speed up data flow, reduce manual work, or increase process transparency.
Integrations Instead of Manual Data Entry
Modern accounting should not rely on manually transferring information between applications.
We build integrations between client systems, banks, document management platforms, KSeF solutions, and financial and accounting systems. Depending on technological capabilities, we use both API integrations and automated file exchange. Data flows between systems without the need for manual intervention at each stage of the process.
AI and RPA Automation in Finance
For years, we have been using robotic process automation (RPA) and our own solutions to automate the work of finance teams. We build bots both within our own technology environment and directly within our clients’ systems.
In practice, this means, among other things:
- automatically retrieving documents and data from various sources,
- automatic transfer of information between systems,
- integrations with online banking,
- data processing between ERP, workflow, and reporting systems,
- automatic data validation,
- preparation of information for further accounting or reporting.
Support for System Implementations, Migrations, and KsEF
We support our clients not only in their day-to-day operations. We participate in implementation projects, data migrations, financial process reorganizations, system integrations, and KSeF-related projects.
We help design solutions tailored to the scale of the organization, eliminate bottlenecks, and increase the level of automation.
As a result, technology is not merely a cost associated with system maintenance—it becomes a tool that supports the company’s growth and improves data quality.
Technology is important. The process is more important.
Even the best systems won't solve organizational problems if the processes have been poorly designed.
That is why we develop technology, processes, and team competencies simultaneously. Only by combining these three elements can we achieve what matters most to our clients: up-to-date data, efficient processes, and the ability to make decisions based on reliable financial information that supports controlling, forecasting, and management decisions.

-
Integration typically involves connecting the ERP system to electronic document management, banking, expense approval workflows, and reporting tools. Depending on the architecture, APIs, file exchanges, or dedicated integrations are used to minimize manual data processing.
-
The processes most commonly automated include invoice processing, data import, bank transaction reconciliation, data validation, reporting, and preparing data for accounting. Automation helps reduce processing time and minimize the risk of manual errors.
-
In many cases, yes. Implementing KSeF often requires adjustments to invoicing processes, integration with ERP systems, and changes to document workflows. The scope of these changes depends on the organization’s current system architecture and level of automation.
-
Yes, especially in the areas of data analysis, document classification, anomaly detection, and the automation of repetitive tasks. AI provides the greatest value when it supports experts and well-designed financial processes.
